BOOK Chepinoga V.V. 2014 Chromosome Numbers of Plant Species from Baikal Siberia. Nauka, Novosibirsk (in Russian, with English abstract, preface, and conclusion)
The book is the collection of chromosome numbers counted in vascular plant specimens that originated from Baikal Siberia (Irkutsk Oblast’, Republic of Buryatia, Zabaikalskii Krai) for the period of karyological investigations between 1924–2014. The annotated check-list includes data published in 136 open sources, namely 3315 chromosome numbers obtained for 1163 plant species representing 40.7 % of the regional flora. Every chromosome number is accompanied by all relevant published data, i.e. bibliographic reference, complete label (locality) of the investigated specimen (voucher), and acronym of herbarium where the voucher is deposited. Geographic coordinates are given for 823 vouchers (24.8 %). All labels published in English or German are translated into Russian. Vouchers were found and are cited in detail for 927 chromosome number specimens, for which localities were first published in an abbreviated form. All localities of the investigated plants are linked to administrative regions, and to districts of the regional division developed for characterization of vascular plant distribution within the Baikal Siberia.
